I'm 37 5'11 medium build and english.....I like stylish not loud clothes so what fabrics and colours are people wearing in london etc and where can i shop for them

In my opinion you are old enough to wear whatever you like, as long as it is not offending anyone else. Choose the sort of clothes you feel comfortable in, or smart in, or however you want to look. You are you, so be yourself. Only teens follow the crowd. If you want ideas go to the stores and look around. If you want help ask a lady friend or a gay guy to go with you.

I would go for classic looks if you not in to making too much of a statment. The key to add style in is look at the cut of the garmet and see what suit your style and body best, and what makes you feel good wearing it. One good idea to go with is mix one casual piece with smart. Like a blazer or jacket with jeans. You can find all sorts of shops for everything in town. Just have a good browse around, George, Matalan, primark, Marks and Sparks :)

Men are so lucky, the styles don't change that much. You can wear jeans, stay away from the baggy ones. Khaki's, dress pants without pleats. Dress shirts, sweaters ( without logos printed on them). A trim fitting jacket, stay away from the puffy coat looks/ or sport coats that go to your mid calf.

My husband goes to Burtons or next or River Island. Dark coloured trousers/jeans go with a alot of things.

for a shirt where a polo(whatever color you like) and for pants, i would go with khakis or a pair of dark wash jeans. you can get them pretty much everywhere..i dont really know any british stores so your best bet is to look around the stores that you know.

Okay I will help you out. Keep it simple for the pants. A solid basic color, like dark blue,khaki, or jeans. Then for the shirt I like polo style or button down. very handsome, cant go wrong!

Although a pink dress is good for englishmen, I am American. i wear button ups and jeans. I think at 27(my age) I'm a bit to old to worry about ....style. if I need to get laid, I've got a pick up line that works for me.
