How do you feel about Dan Radcliff's (Harry Potter) bearing it all in his new stage show.Are you for or against his being on stage nude for 10 minutes????

Have you ever read the play? I've done the play. There is a very good reason for his being naked onstage; the character must be so. A play is about life; life contains nudity, it is something that cannot be ignored. Also, this play cannot be done without the nudity anyway; the theatrical contract with Samuel French does not allow the signing of the contract without the signing of a rider stating that there will be full nudity, as per Shaeffer's desires. Radcliffe is the correct age for Strang and by taking this role is stating that he is not only a film actor, not only Harry Potter, but more serious and a deeper actor, as the character takes a lot of work. A LOT of work. It is very physical and emotional. And he'll be likely doing the show 8 to 10 times a week.

How do I feel? I feel frustrated when people don't type their real question in the question box - thus requiring people to OPEN their question in order to know what they are asking.
That said - how do I feel about Dan Radcliffe appearing nude on the stage? Well - the play is Peter Schaeffer's Eqqus. It's not like he's up their doing a steamy sex scene. He's playing a very disturbed young boy. Theatre imitates life. Sometimes - in people's lives - they take their clothes off. And sometimes it's necessary to show that part of life on stage to get the story told.
Dan Radcliff is a pretty good actor. HE will not be nude on the stage - his CHARACTER will.
Can everybody just calm down about this? The poor guy doesn't want to be Harry Potter for the rest of his life.

It's his choice what he wants to do.. He probably is doing it to show that he can do other acting parts aside from being Harry Potter.

I thinks it is awful!!! I'm totally against it!! In school they teach us that all that stuff is wrong!! We hear about rape and ....everything else that's wrong! Why make a movie about it!?!?!? Dan might get rather cold wouldn't he? But that's not the point. The point is that in the Bible it says you have to be married to do that kind of stuff!! IT WRONG AND THE PERSON WHO WROTE IT IS STUPID!!

i like him but not nude. that is bad. and that is making me really angry. to some people he is a role modle and should be a
good one too!
