I had my older brother's camera in school to film something for a charity event. I locked it in my locker, the next day it was thieved from the said locker its not that the camera is very important but it has a lot of my brother's wedding footage, and vacation footage My principle is incompetent and said she could not see anyone on the school security cameras. I don't know what to do since the memories stolen are severely more important then the camera and she said "Ill tell you if someone turns it in" which is ridiculous mostly due to the week long vacation coming up the camera will be sold or the footage taped over. Help

File a police report. If the camera is pawned, you will need the report to reclaim the property. Take a copy of the report to the local pawn shops. You will need to agree to prosecute to reclaim the camera without paying any money. Hope your brother keep the receipt and serial number of the camera.
Have your parents contact the school and request to view the video tape showing your locker.
It might be that the video does not exist, and that is why she could not see anyone. A school in our area got in trouble when they were using dummy cameras as a deterrent on school buses, but the cameras were broken.

Put an ad in the school paper saying no questions asked if the film or tape is returned. Very sentimental tapes. Then, when they show up with the camera or film, have your friends beat the crap out of the jerks.

Sue the school for not maintaining a secure area. (It's called defaulting on an implied promise.) Use the money to offer a reward for the return of the camera or at least the film.

Set up a covert camera in your locker with a recording device. They aren't too expensive. You can get a micro camera that will run off a 9v battery and then get a video recorder that has rechargeable batteries and then set it to record on motion and you got your own security system. There is a link below. They have some great stuff. Check them out.
