Yup! Once they pulled me over to ask me if I was drunk (which I wasn't). Why did he think I might have been drunk? To this day, I can't answer that. I wasn't speeding. I wasn't weaving. I wasn't driving recklessly. In fact, I was just pulling out of a drive-thru at Del Taco! Anyhow, after it became painfully obvious to the officer that I was not drunk, he starts asking me if I'm on meth. I was like, "Are you freakin' kidding?" Why the hell would he think I'm on meth? I think he just randomly picked a drug to question me about. Well, I don't do meth...or any other drug for that matter, which I explained to the officer. Then he asks me, "When did you last use meth?" At this point I'm thinking: "Is this guy retarded? I just told him I NEVER use drugs!" So again I had to explain it to the officer. Then he asks if I have drugs in the car. At this point I'm starting to sound like a broken record: "I don't ever use/buy/sell/possess drugs, I don't ever use/buy/sell/possess drugs, I don't ever..." So then this punk starts shining his light in my car, snooping around, walking around the outside of the car, just DESPERATE to find something...anything...wrong, so he can nail me. Of course, he found nothing and was forced to let us go. The look of disappointment on his face was classic. What a prick!
I mean, I can understand him pulling me over if I was doing something suspicious, or driving poorly, or something was obviously wrong with the car (headlights off at night, etc), or if I was someplace I shouldn't have been. However, I seriously doubt buying tacos qualifies as "probable cause".
There has been plenty of other times too, but that one is the classic example.
P.S. The people who said things like "No, I don't break the law" are cracking me up. Way to miss the point of the question, guys. He asked if you'd ever been UNFAIRLY targeted. Being targeted by police because you broke the law wouldn't qualify as "unfairly". I think if you broke the law, the police would be pretty fair in coming after you. Jeez...how sad is it that I have to explain this?

Yep, where I'm from the police target any teen drivers. Once they waited for a softball team to cut out of practice and head for a game and then they pulled them all over saying illegal prosession or something like that. The parents were furious. My parents didn't let me drive til I was out of high school because of the cops. At least it had nothing to do with race though, that would suck even more.

I'm glad you brought up the subject. My friend has been unfairly targeted by the police on several occasions, he's black so we think it's a question of race.

4 wheelers will danger something to save that 12 2d & get round a truck; I easily have not in any respect talked about a unmarried one get pulled, even as this habit replaced into obviously witnessed by technique of the police officials. They pull the rigs over because they're elementary aims & they hate the actual incontrovertible reality that we radio their positions on the highways.

There were many people who had been unfairly targeted by the police wherein they were suspected as criminals due to wrong information and unconfirmed reports.

No I have not. Every time I have been pulled over, the police have had just cause. I have never fought a ticket because the ones I got I knew I deserved. I haven't gotten a ticket in 11 years and I have probably deserved one a time or two.

Yes..The day after the Columbine shooting i was wearing a pair of black jeans and a black t-shirt at my highschool and was pulled aside handcuffed and searched along with a few other students.. All because we were supposedly dressed like the type who committed the crime.
I've also been pulled over for no reason at like 6pm and asked who i was and what my business was.. And this was in the town i lived in at the time
The officers reason for pulling me over was.. he said he doesn't remember ever seeing my car.

No, never. Never been in trouble with the law and do not intend on getting in trouble. Some one or yourself must have gave them some reason to target you, maybe you need to change the people you hang with, or stop doing what your doing wrong.

No. Every time I've been targeted I had earned it. You saying you never earned a targeting?
