I am 13 now. When I was about 65to 7, I would always try to be "Symmertic". If I scratched the right side of my head with my right arm, I would have the unresitable urge todo the same with my left hand. If I scratch my leg with my right are, I felt I HAD to do it with my left. This woud happen all the time. From 9-10, I would blink my eyes 3x times more than needed. I couldn't help it. When I was 11, I always had the urge to say the stupid same phrase under my breath after every sentence I said out loud. If I couldn't say it, I had to hum it. All these things went away. I saw something about this on Oprah.

OCD, doesn't sound like you have it too bad, though. Sometimes it just comes and goes throughout your life and sometimes it disappears completely. Others get it full blown. Tell your parents and keep an eye on it. Also, remember that you are not crazy, OCD doesn't affect your mind, it is more like having a brain twitch. Actually, you probably have a higher IQ than most people, OCD and intelligence frequently show up together.

Oh, and as a warning, just for when you get older...STAY AWAY FROM ILLEGAL DRUGS, people with OCD are at super-high risk for having bad reactions to marijuana, LSD, ecstacy, etc. and frequently end up with lifelong panic attacks, depersonalization (feeling anxious and like nothing is real although you know it is) or a disorder known as HPPD (Hallucinogen Persisting Perception Disorder, where your brain gets stuck with the LSD visual distortions for many years, even life). Don't worry about what your friends or pro-drug people tell you. I know a girl that can tell you all about that.

Sounds like obsessive compulsive disorder....see a doctor first. This is a good forum for curiosities, but you want something better than that. This is a medical condition that can be treated. Seek a professional....Best wishes!!
