I have a reoccurring dream that I haven't quite been able to figure out. In this dream I have large wads of gum stuck in my jaws and no matter how much I pull at it with my fingers I can't get it out. I have only once had this dream where it was altered. It was during an intense semester of art classes during college. In this version I pulled the gum out and a tooth or teeth came with it and blood gushed out.

All the research I've done only talks about losing teeth etc. But none of those explanations seem to ring true to me.

It's symbolic of feeling out of control. I have the same dreams when I'm stressed -- right down to my teeth falling out.

It's stress. Nothing more.

Ask yourself what the gum and the teeth represent to you. I find it interesting that the dream was altered during an intense semester of art classes! Wow, that may be the answer, that you feel pressured, stressed and that semester you had added stress and the worst happened, all your teeth came out with the gum.

See if writing about your thoughts on what the dream means helps. And also try to learn to relax and de-stress.

Okay first of all the only two people that can analyze your dreams are yourself and a psychologist. But I doubt ur go to a psychologist for one dream. Go to 10 different dream web sites or books and they all say something different. The manifest content is the dream its self. The gum, the class etc. But the latent content however is the underlying meaning of the dream. That's the hard part to figure out. What the gum symbolizes, the art class etc. This is based on Sigmund Freud's theory of dreams. U might wanna read up on it because it's pretty interesting.

Gum
To dream that you are chewing gum, suggests that you are unable to express yourself effectively. You may feel vulnerable. Alternatively, is symbolizes a sticky situation that you found yourself in.

To dream that you are unable to get rid of your gum, suggests that you are experiencing some indecision, powerlessness or frustration. You may lack understanding in a situation or find that a current problem is overwhelming.
