the baby can feel your stressing... put the baby in it's bed close the door and walk away for about 10-15 minutes. and calm down!!!!! Take some deep breaths. If the baby is still crying go back in rubs it's back or pick it up and rock for a while till you feel too stressed. Then put it back down and leave for a little while if you have to. If it stops crying go in to check on it and make sure it's doing ok...If it's been going on for a couple days take it to the dr. it could have an ear infection, colic, have gas problems, or lactos intolerant. I don't know how young it is so i'm not sure..but it's definetly feeling your stress right now.. good luck

Give the baby a fat section of raw carrot to chew on. Go for a car ride. Donovan's From A Flower To A Garden album is great to play to put babies to sleep!

Believe it or not, some of the not so loud Led Zeppelin stuff works wonders on babies. When Robert Plant isn't screaming, his voice is very soothing to little ears.

Kashmir or Battle of Evermore played on repeat quietly should help.

I heard that if you use your mouth to make ocean sounds, like waves, the baby relaxes. The sounds of waves crashing is similar to the sounds in the uterus. You can also try some light classical music.

Good luck.

Do you know the group Blue October??? The song called Hate Me puts my grandaughter to sleep if I stand and hold her and sway back & forth with her to the song ! Try it! Is he/she hungry? Or wet or teething??? Eliminate those first! And if your serious about ripping your hair out CALL SOMEONE TO GIVE YOU A HAND PLEASE!!! Before you lose control!! Please?

My neice always fell asleep to Guns N Roses Sweet Child O' Mine...
my stepson used to listen to pink floyd The Wall and settle down...
If he's not hungry and his diaper is clean, then he should quiet down sooner or later, sometimes they really do cry themselves to sleep.

Try putting on Norah Jones, once I was babysitting and it was the only thing that got Lily to quiet down.
