You can't generalize about EVERYBODY based on you and your mom. It's logically unsound.
Sometimes we do resemble the descriptions ("symptoms") of a psychological disorder, but, chances are, we don't actually have a full-fledged disorder. A psych disorder, by definition, is something that causes considerable distress, impairment, and dysfuction. So, does your TV watching habit greatly do any of these things such that you don't function effectively? I guess not. Disorders are statistically infrequent in the general population. Non-psychologists/psychiatrists can't make a reliable diagnosis.
You may be slightly obsessive-compulsive, it might even be just the average "everybody likes something" and you happen to like round numbers. But you don't have OCD. You're watching too much TV.

Unfortunately, the study of psychiatric disorders is not an exact science. All psychological problems exist, basically, on a continuum. So yes, it's entirely possible for a person to be a little "obsessive" about personal hygiene or round numbers. That is different from having full blown obsessive-compulsive disorder, though. One of the things that characterizes full blown OCD is that the obsessions and compulsions have caused notable disruption in a person's day to day life. Your insistence on round numbers doesn't sound like it causes you much, if any, psychological distress.
So, no... we don't all have OCD, but yes... many of us are a little obsessional about certain things.

No, because the definitions in the DSM-IV-TR only apply to individuals whose lives are significantly impacted.

Yeah, I think so. I mean when I do my laundry. I do it by red, blue, green, blue jeans, black jeans, whites, bleach, etc...
Other small things.
But anything else forget it. There is no way that you can get me stuck on anything else.
