It is not me...You need to think of the sentence of if it was written as "She is older than (blank) am." Me in this case would make it "She is older than me am." Which is incorrect. It should be "She is older than I," as when inserted into the test sentence turns out to be "She is older than I am." This sentence makes sense and also tells you that your original sentence should use "I", not "Me".

She is older than I. Just like the other question: What's wrong with this sentence : he is superior than me: My answer was, He is more superior than I. Me functions as the direct object of the verb. Wiki explains it.

"She is older than I" is correct. When you have this kind of question, try putting a verb after the pronoun, e.g. "She is older than I am" or "She is older than he is" or She is older than they are." You would never say, "She is older than me am" because me is not a nominative pronoun.

The correct word is "I." The understood verb in the sentence is "am," as in "She is older than I am."

However, common usage says oh what the hell, just use "me."

"I" is the subject form, and "me" is the object form of the pronoun.
"Than me" is a prepositional phrase, with "me" being the object of the preposition, so therefore the object form of the pronoun is correct.

If you can't remember the rule, substitute another set of subject/object pronouns. For instance, "She is older than we/ She is older than us." US is correct (object form), so therefore ME is correct.
