Rachel Jackson. She was the wife of President Andrew Jackson. She led an interesting life. Read about it here:

She led an interesting life. Her first husband was cruel to her, and sought a divorce; she and Jackson thought it had been granted when they married in Natchez, only to find two years later that the divorce had not been finalized. The claim of adultery (and worse) haunted Rachel the rest of her days. It was said that Andrew kept a pair of dualing pistols loaded and ready if anyone dare say anything against her, and he fought several duals to to defend her honor.

Sure! You could dress as the wife of many presidents. You could be Martha Washington (from Virginia), the wife of James K. Polk (from TN), or the wife of Andrew Johnson, (Also from TN). Also, you have women like Harriet Tubman or Rosa Parks (though both of them were African-American) Good luck, and whoever you chose, have fun!
