What would change??

Serious answers please.. No "we'll win!" answers, if so explain why we would..

I'm asking because I keep seeing answers like "if liberals would just support the war, we would've won by now".. I'd think that without the opposition, it'd just be "stay the course, stay the course" for who know how long. And that's obviously now working..

I am not sure anything would change, unless we change our policies and tactics over there.

With that being said I will as this as food for thought: I the so called liberals and conservatives or Republicans and Democrats stopped this two sided crap and approached our countries problems as a team of educated critical thinkers and took into consideration what was good for this country and her people and not their own blatant self interest would things be different?

One must remember that when the vote came to go there we were very unified including the Democrats and Republicans, the majority of both voted for us to go. If they would have stuck together and found some sort of middle ground policies for the situation we probably would have been long finished with the situation. But in dividing themselves they have crippled us as a country and taken away any resolve we might have for the current situation. Why... because money, politics and self interest are more important to our countries politicians that the good of the country. They have not only divided themselves, but they have divided the people of this country and our country from many of our world allies. The government as a whole has become ineffective domestically and with their forgein pollicy.

1. What do you mean support? Do you mean fight? Or do you mean just in general show support for the attacks our government is ordering out?

2. Its not just liberals who don't support the war. I know many conservatives who don't support it is as well.

3. Alot would change. You have to realize though, I think all of America supports to destroying of terrorized groups, however the way we are going about doing that is completely skewed and our government has lied to us in the past about what we are really doing there, so it would be hard to trust. Would we actually be supporting it, or would we just be fools?

4. If all this actually happened, I think that we would go COMPLETELY overboard with the war and just start doing more than "fight terror". We would be giving our current government way too much power and who knows what that means for the Iraqis.

Then I think you'd see many Conservatives change their mind and oppose the war. Both sides are hypocrites. Just compare Iraq to Bosnia. Democrat President bombs Bosnia and Republicans throw a fit. Republican President bombs Iraq and Democrats throw a fit. Whatever the situation, the other side of the aisle will oppose it for no reason other than trying to pander for votes.

There would still be lots of people opposing the war. You are making the assumption that only liberals oppose the war. There are many conservatives who are against the war as well.

Nothing would change because an equal number of conservative people do not support the war.

There is no if, this is totally impossible to answer, because they will not change their minds. If, means nothing to them. They will not give up, they could care less about our safety and the way they act, do not support nothing but a way to bring America down. So, IF is impossible, they have proved that.

Nothing would change. Bush would still be a failure. This war would still be a failed attempt at empire because Bush started it without doing his homework. BTW, It's not just liberals who oppose this war you know. Many conservatives believe this war is wrong too.

Nothing would change at all. Until we all realize that we are ONE WORLD, ONE PEOPLE and there's enough for everyone - and we stop competing with each for money, food, God, fuel, whatever - NOTHING IS GOING TO CHANGE.
And we'll continue to fight and kill each other in wars over money, food, God, fuel, whatever.

And we call ourselves "advanced". We have a long way to go before we call ourselves an "advanced" society!
