I lock myself in the bathroom, get in the tub, and wait till the disaster has passed or I make a martini turn up the stereo and dance naked. I can never decide what to do when confronted with a truly serious situation.

I would not wet myself, but I would wonder who or what was outside the door. I would call out and ask who was there, NOT open the door or let the person in, and probably call 911 if they wouldn't leave.
Of course, there may have been an animal outside. In which case I certainly wouldn't open the door or let the cat out. It could be a wild animal, one with a disease, crazed, or vicious.
Pets, cats and dogs, have wonderful instincts when it comes to knowing when something is wrong, either with a person (negative or bad), or another animal.

If MY CAT did that, I'd probably grab the .45 and cock it, although whoever came through that door is gonna get shredded pretty good by the cat, I guarantee you.
My Russian Blue, Precious, still has the call of the wild in him, and if he decides that you're lunch.....it's time to call 911, baby. I can handle him OK, but best not to get on his bad side...

No, but I would run for the backdoor. I'd also jump over my neighbors fence and ask for help. They're a family of cops so I know that they would help me.
