i go by this rule and this rule all the time no matter what the animal it is unless its a ferret or breeding season ALWAYS and I REPEAT ALWAYS house all reptiles and other lizards one per cage they can and will get territorial and only way to house more then one per cage make sure its a big enough tank if say you have a baby crested and want to add another one and you have a 10 gallon tank make sure you get a 20 or 30 gallon for 2 so they can each have there own territory also with other animals if you want to house more then one of the same depending on the size the reptils gets i would double or triple or even quadruple the size of the tank if you want to put more then one in it

Ideally, no reptiles should be housed with members of another species. It is highly stressful for them. Depending on the species, many cannot even be housed with other members of their own species, especially if they are both males.

You also have to consider size differences, microhabitat differences, feeding competition, territoriality, etc.

If you would like to add another species to your collection, it would be best for all involved to give them separate housing.
