Hi there,

When I open the 4-5 Windows (pages) of Mozilla browser my Laptop starts to use 100% system resources (CPU usage 100%) but when I close all the Browser's window the Laptop CPU usage come down to the normal level.

I have 1 GB ram and 80 GB H.DD.

Would anyone tell me please how to fix this problem.

That is odd. Firefox has a long standing memory leak problem but rarely have I heard about it using 100% of the CPU. Have you tried starting it in safe mode? In safe mode, all extensions and themes are disabled. Oftentimes, there is a problem with extension which runs up CPU usage. You can start Firefox in safe mode by Start Menu > All Programs > Mozilla Firefox > Mozilla Firefox (safe mode). See if this resolves the problem. If it does then you have to hunt down the offending extension or theme.

If you haven't already done so, you should install the latest version of Firefox, version 2.0.0.1.

If all should fail then you should create a new Firefox profile. The profile contains all your settings, add ons and preferences. Occasionally, the profile becomes corrupted and you have to create a new one by Start Menu > Run > type "firefox.exe -p" (without the quotation marks) > [Create profile..] > give the profile a name > [Next] > [Start Firefox].

Give it a try. If all fails, drop me an e-mail and I can give you some other options.

Mozilla does have a serious memory leak issue especially on older memory types. I have a similar problem with my firefox browser. I think that the more
extension you give firefox the more it works the cpu (this applies to other mozilla products like seamonkey and thunderbird) Try searching for a GPL browser that will have a smaller footprint. I use dillo without problems.(Im not sure if dillo has a windows version if your running M$) Remember Google is your friend.

You must shut down all processes in the background to reduce pagefile usage and memory usage. Mozilla has a problem with memory leaks. If I use Mozilla for a long time it will freeze or crash or go from 100MB ram usage to 300MB+ of ram usage. It doesn't only happen on my PC but it happens on the rest of the 3 PC's in my home. This is a problem with Mozilla and not your PC. Use Internet Explorer instead or try Opera.
