I have always feared, from an young age thermal nuclear war, ever since I watched a BBC documentary "threads" .
It would mean the end of humanity and all living creatures and as a Buddhist such a terrible act of nations would bring the end to any enlightenment and the destruction of millions of lives.
Every book that had ever been written along with poetry, art, culture, science and love would be lost amongst the debris and ashes.
100.000 years of human evolution would be ended in one almighty flash, with no where to hide or protect your family or loved ones.
The thought of millions of children around the world being evaporated, chills me to the bone.
The fact that America is seeking confrontation with Iran concerning Iran's alleged nuclear weapons program, whilst Iran's tirade against Israel, already a nuclear power, is pushing us all closer to the unthinkable.
I really hope that no nation could be so stupid to believe that a nuclear war could be won because anyone with an ounce of intelligence would acknowledge the madness of such military pursuits.
I fear the ultimate ignorance and hatred.

Ultimately all fears lead to death itself, so a fear of spiders and tiger, lions etc, are all cause by the fear of dying. Also, a fear such as fear of failure also leads to death because ultimate failure is failure of life, so we feel that there is nothing to live for and nothing able to acheive so many may think their lives are over. So in a way i suppose everyone is afraid of dying, as it is a fear of the unknown, but something which is inevitable and very certain.
I must say that i am not afraid of the fact that i will die as that, i feel, is something which people accustom themselves to over the course of their lifetime.
Many people fear for the safety of their loved ones, but ultimately this is a fear of being lonely, and is also deeply linked to ones own death.

Recently I've been fearing that some mutant virus breaks out in a lab, and the people infected become zombies. They bite, scratch others.. who in turn become zombies.
I wouldn't like to wake up to a world where the zombies are taking over. I still haven't decided what to do in those circumstances. I'm glad UK doesn't allow most of us firearms.. but my zombie fear... well all i have is a highpowered catapult.

I fear that I will die never having experienced a healthy, loving relationship. That said, I find joy every day in something.

Becoming senile and unable to look after myself when I get old, therefore a burden and a cause of resentment to those I love.
