.....the AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ dual-core - 2.0GHz or Intel Pentium D 820 (2.8GHz, 2MB,800MHz FSB). Which are both upgradable, so pretty much I want to know which processor is more recommended for gaming, photos, and music.

ALL benchmark reports show the 3800+ as being considerably faster than the D 820 & even the D 830 in most tests.

The AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ dual-core - 2.0GHz because you will get better game play.

the pentium D is a dual core nice but go at 800mhz this is a low cost chip..

the AMD is a low cost 2 but go at 1000mhz

so ill get the AMD...

Go for pentium D its build for more applications and fast speed...
