It will not harm your engine if that is what you are worried about. If you put a lighter weight oil in your can you might use a little oil until you get the right weight back in it. And if you use too heavy a weight in extremely cold temperatures your car might be hard to start
Example of that is my pickup. If I do not watch them when I get my oil changed they will put 10W-40 in it every time instead of 20W-50. When they do that I have to add oil between oil changes. With 20W-50 I never have to add oil between changes..
What you have to watch out for is mixing synthetic and non synthetic oil motor together. They are not compatible.

As long as its ENGINE oil.... your fine for right now....
Now if you happened to use a heavier weight oil (say you're using 5w-30) and you mix a heavier weight oil (say 15w-40 or straight 40 weight, etc) and your expecting frigid temps.... I'd get it changed... You want the best oil flow capable for your engine.... but also keep in mind if it was a half a quart to a quart.... this will barely throw off the final oil viscosity....
Also don't worry about mixing synthetic with conventional oil.... whats a synthetic blend anyway? They are compatible... this also goes for different brands....

I depends upon how far off it is.
If you have 10w-30 and you add 30w there is no problem. As long as your oil is in the normal range 5w-30 thru 20w-50 adding one quart of something different is OK
If you add transmission fluid, or Gear Lube 80w-130 then you need to change the whole fluid.

It all depends.... if you mix 10 W 40 with 10 W 30...... dont worry about it.... it is ok.... but if you get some 80W90 and dump it in the engine, then drain it and start over with 5W30.

nothing, but now you know, and feel uneasy still over it, you have time to stop by and get an oil change

nothing, just make sure you change your oil at the 3,000 mile time as you are supposed to do.
