How do you view our politics, our society, our culture?
How do you view the "War on Terrorism"?

This is not a place for Americans to defend the country. Let others openly voice their opinions.

USA is multicultural, rich, suburban, metroplitan, mainly Christian, Anglo nation. Your politics are conservative, your society is insulated, xenophobic and your culture is popular and superficial. you give lots of lip service to freedom, democracy and liberty, you "Trust In God" but don't trust your President.
War on Terror is an INDUSTRY not a CRISIS. Money. Power. Oil. Money.
American Woman - predatory, uneducated, pretty, superficial - Paris Hilton
American Man - - vain, handsome, loud, dopey - Brad Pitt
American Child - spoilt, no talent - increasingly overweight - Kelly Osbourne

thats a very stereotypical question but since you asked I'll answer.
It's nice and pretty, people are nice but some of them can be rude and plain racists, but we have some of them in every country so that nothing new. What I do like is that if you work hard enough you can get where you want.
2~ it's called a democracy but it's not. Only 5% of population actually makes the decisions since rest of us are busy trying to make bills. society is like every other place I guess. people are not shy so they ask questions which is a nice thing if put rightly. culture no offense but I am not a fan of the culture. Girls getting pregnant in high schools and thinking that thats the best thing ever happened to them is wrong. Half naked girls on t.v and even in schools since there is not dress code.
3~ war on Terrorism was a good thing when it was about terrorism. It stopped being about that when we attacked Iraq. Iraq was not a terrorist country. Now its war for oil and Bushes new World Order.Which is wrong.
4~stereotyping is wrong. every one is different. I know people who work all day and then go home and study, then I know kids from school who are on trips in high school, show up drunk, but there are other friends who get A's and are admirable..... I can't answer that question.

A huge vast Land , very beautiful suffers a lot from Pollution , to many cars and Polluting Industries.
Its a two Party State with two Conservative Parties dedicated to Capitalism. The Democrats are the more Liberal and less Right wing. You would need a Socialist Party to look after the Rights of the Ordinary People in mundane Jobs who will never be Rich and struggle to make a living. The US is Dedicated to looking after the People with Money.
If you Mean Iraq you should not be there , Saddam is gone now and there is a Civil War there and The British and US and there allies are the Meat in the Sandwich the Iraqies Hate you, while they are not Killing themselves they are trying to Kill youre Soldiers. Youre Government is Only after the Oil.
There are some very nice People from the US you cannot Stereotype them all they have many different Cultural Backgrounds.A lot of them speak very loudly with a twangy Voice and sometimes it is hard to understand there Accent, and there Clothes are very Loud as well.

Funny I just asked a question of how to live in the US so that pretty shows which side I'm on.
I view the country as great, fun, and where I wanna be.
I'm not an overly political person but I do see things I don't agree with in all 3 categories there. But then I think, that will happen wherever you go.
Confused with what they're trying to accomplish
I don't stereotype because there too many aspects of American life. But to play categories, what I consider the classic american - friendly, travels, well spoken, steady job, a little conservative, wheres sweat clothes with the name of their capital city embroided on the front.

As a whole, its an exciting place to visit. (Not live there). I would like to travel round the US.
Don't know much about the politics, but society depending where you live is quite segregated. There seems to be marked differences in class, wealth... This is everywhere in the world, but I think the gap is wider in the US.
Culture on the whole is strong and has had an effect, good and bad on the rest of the world especially in music, clothing ...
War on terrorism is essential to our current global survival but sometimes extreme measures have been taken by the US.
Usually friendly and chatty.

Honestly......not if you gave me $1,000,000 I would not set foot in that country.
The country as a hole is a crime ridden, bloated society.
The politics are a joke with a jester running the country.
There is no war on terror. Its simply a smoke screen to get control of pipe lines and oil.
There are plenty of great, intelligent Americans I'm sure but the majority and this is a stereotype you asked for are uneducated, materialistic, appearance focused, self centered bunch of whooping self loving, self important ignoramuses.

i am from canada . i see the usa as a very strange place.
you are so often saying your the greatest country on earth but you have no universal medical coverage . i have seen programs that show people like this couple both lawyers both working full time both doing well . they had twin girls both with severe asthma and they could no longer get health insuance because of the asthama and the frequent hospital vists. i have seen a great many shows like that . that is just plain stupid.
i have been to the usa many times and i watch your news . you have so much crime there its a joke. i know for a fact 1/3 of all americans right now are involved in the justice system either in jail or prision , waiting trail . on probation in a half way house or some other program . that is the worst record i have ever heard of.
you have within your cities sections of the city that are like war zones people shoting guns burned out cars and homes. that is insane.
your people seem to be totally unaware of the rest of the world and are hard put to even name the prime minister of canada.
you dont seem to even know your own history often i see things that show me that simple history questions about the usa cant be answered by most everyone.
you have terrible public schools in the cites and i would not send a child to such a place . knife fights gun fights gangs rapes . all manner of drugs . that is beyond words
you have so many people without jobs and your welfare system is a mess.
you have problems in your goverment and yet you seem to worship the goverment. you seem to think yours is the best system of goverment possible but its a system that so many of your people have no clue how it works.
your military is well stocked but there is no need for such a big military . the reason you get in such trouble with other countries is you have this big army you like to send into places they should not be.
what you should be doing is using the military on your own streets along with your police to round up gangs and elimiante them from life.
the really sad part about the usa is that canada is only about 10 years behind you in crime stats. we see what the imigrants legal ones have done to your country and still our socitey allows more of them to come here.
the usa is a great friend of canada and i think we should stay friends but you people should have seen that when canada said no to iraq war because there was not proof of the weapons there you should have listened. i cant for the life of me understand how you can have a goverment that lied about that and is still in power. . yet you allowed a tax fraud question with the last presidents wife become all about what your president had under his desk . that judge should have been put in prision and the stupid matter wrapped up.
nope i am with the rest of the world i dont see the usa as a great place at all.
the war on terrorism is another silly thing your doing . canada sends troops to afganastan where the terrorist leaders hide out but you still send more and more troops to the wrong country.
you should get out of iraq that is a mess. you should not have been there in the first place.
another thing why on earth did you need a canadain general to take the 911 day in hand and order all planes to land most in canada . that is just showing me that you need to adjust you system of command . we let any member of cabinet make such orders at the request of the generals. our prime minister didnt even have to lift a finger . now that sure seems like the way to go. stop treating your presidents like they are super human or even as god and just tell them to fly in a regular military plane
live in a much more normal house and be paid and spend much less money on themselfs.

I cannot comment on your country as I have never been there.
But your politics seem so messed up is not even funny any more.
Under the guise of freedom you taught the world about pornography,
Your country produces the most inane brain dead TV shows and insist on shoving it down everybody's throat
The few Americans I know are insufferable know it all 's.
The women are as loud and brash as the men and seem to hate each other...

where to begin.... *warning this post contains generalisation*
your country as a whole, pretty large...
politics, a choice between right and righter and totally undemocratic (imo), To heavily focussed on the 'pep rallies' and corrupt.
society and culture, fat, lazy, stubborn and slightly uneducated, , over-religious, unsympathetic, americans also have a tendancy to be over-patriotic and tend to attack other countries in defending their own (in word of speech)
the War on Terror, well thats basically your own fault, osama didnt attack the WTC because you have elections every so many years and your women dont wear veils, but he attacked because of the US forreign policy in the middle east and the indian region.
stereotype.. see culture and society ^^.
*im not attempting to insult anyone here, just being honest*
