I would wait at least 2 months. My son's pediatrician doesn't even want newborns out in public for 6 weeks because their immune systems are still too immature to handle all the viruses. And on a plane it is sooooo much worse, all that recycled air! I've gotten sick numerous times after flying, and so have my husband and kids. You want your baby to be strong and able to handle exposure to all those germs before you start flying.

Ask your pediatrician and see what he/she says.
