feed my 17th month old baby rice at lunch and dinner everyday? I am a filipino so i get used to eat rice..my baby eats rice together with chicken/egg/beef at lunch and dinner..she loves it..I cook rice softer for her..thanks!

her daddy (my husband) has type 2 diabetes that's why i am concerned giving her rice at lunch and dinner everyday, i do not want her to have diabetes

I'm sure that rice is alright for your baby. If you are concerned about the rice and its link to diabetes you should ask her pediatrician. I think that the fact that your husband has diabetes is a greater risk.

It's probably okay as long as you are balancing it out with protein and fiber-rich foods and fruits and vegetables. People who live in the Asian countries tend to live longer than those of us from the rest of the world and rice makes up a big part of their diets so they must be doing something right. Just relax about it, make sure you are balancing out her meals with the other good things. and when she has her next well-baby check-up ask her pediatrician what he/she thinks about it.

rice is fine, she's too young to develop type 2 diabetes, just make sure when she gets a little older that she gets lots of exercise..

I am sure it is fine. If you are worried you could try brown rice instead. As long as there are veggies, fruits and other nutritious foods you are doing a great job!

be careful the baby will get constipated where is the fruit in the her diet
