For lounging around, your average flip flops. For exercising, and to achieve the jeans and t-shirt look, Reeboks!

For me I like a simple pair of suede hiking boots , they are comfortable like a tennis shoe and also can be found very cheap , the pair I have cost 15 bucks are 2 years old and still look and feel new. I've paid alot of money for expensive shoes in the past but no more for me .

Depends on what type of an occassion the shoe is for (dress, cross country, casual, etc).

If you're looking for great quality, comfortable shoes that won't break your budget in the dress/casual area, Florsheims are my favourite.

Zappos.com is a great place to go shopping online. Very reasonable prices and a HUGE selection. They always have deals (such as free shipping) if you subscribe to their mailing list. I've shopped there 4 times so far and don't see myself ever going back to a retail store.

Ecco shoes are usually noted for their comfort ~ but their appeal is not very good, usually aimed at older women and such.. Ballet pumps are quite comfortable if you are a female, but trainers will always be my most comfortable shoes ~ alongside my slippers!

I like Wolverine Durashocks. I've used them for a work shoe for quite a few years now and no complaints here.

Always pay for a better quality, supportive shoe . . . you'll be glad you did when you are 80!

Personally I love Crocs. I work on my feet and I wear them, if I wear anything else my feet ache. I'm sure the other brands are effective but my work pays for them for me so I haven't tried the other kinds yet. They really do work though!

Tevas, Birkenstocks or Born. Running shoes (I like Avia) or flip flops next. Crocs are nice too but goofy looking.
