It seems as soon as its midnight tv is taken over by these stupid game shows, where you have phone in an answer that costs you a £1. Anyone else fed up of them?

Absolutely.

It shows total contempt on the part of ITV controllers for the viewing public that they think the viewing majority will

a) watch anything (not true, I don't know anybody who hasn't given it 5 minutes then switched it off)
b) be such complete morons as to be taken in and phone in constantly thus generating income for them for zero entertainment (this is also not true as evidenced by the awkard majority of these shows where the presenters desperately try to get you to phone in, because the phone lines are dead because they are extortionate and people also get charged whether or not they get through).

I don't often complain about tv, having been all over Europe and the States I can categorically say that Britain has the best tv in the world bar none (especially the BBC) but this blatant disrespect of treating the viewing public like morons has got to stop. Yes, there are a few morons, but the majority are not and I thought democracy was all about majority???

I get fed up with those silly phone ins on a night. Why cant they put repeats on instead or something like that if they dont want to make programs for a night.Theres got to be something better than those silly phone in game shows that they could put on easily.People pay there tv liscense for nights aswell.Who wants to watch hours of adverts for chat-lines.Thats not what i payed my tv license for.I should stop paying in protest(its a good excuse not to pay anyway).

I hate those stupid phone in quizzes at night, its on almost every channel and its always a stupid question, with phone charges so high they take the P. I got so annoyed one night I turned of the tv only to find it on my local radio station!

Oh yes, I am soooo sick of these rip off shows. I think we should all start a petiton to bring back the late night black and white movies. I'd much rather watch Christopher Lee bite a neck or two in some old Hammer production than try and work out 'How many dogs....???!!!!' (That was literally a question one night!!)

It's rubbish I tell you, RUBBISH!!

WELL, we don't have those out here in California, usually after midnight it's nothing but adult movies and anime cartoons that can't be shown during the day when kids might see them because they have adult themes.

But if the shows are like that where you are, I do feel bad for you and I can agree - that would really be bad tv.

Im very fed up with them, I wouldnt be so bad if they were on from 3am or something like that but to start at 12, its just unfair.
