what refund? your income tax refund? It should only ake about a week longer than it would have taken to be direct deposited

What kind of refund are you talking about? A tax refund? It takes the IRS about 6 weeks to issue a check but yes, they will mail it to you.

Call the bank and ask for a full accounting of the closing items. If there were any bank fees that were attached you should be told, and you should receive any money, if any, left in the account.
