Anytime I read about her, the article makes her sound like the greatest thing on earth! Is it her sex appeal? Her quirkiness? Her music (to me) just seems 'okay'.

She is the latest incarnation of Tori Amos, Alanis Morsette, Jewel,etc. where music is awkwardly written around lyrics. It sooths the angst of the female adolescent soul.

Forget radio and music videos. Her best songs are the ones you won't hear in the mainstream playlists. Try her 11:11 CD. Or check her out on the Strokes' song "Modern Girls and Old Fashioned Men" ... or see her in concert. She is an amazing performer.

Seems just okay to me as well. I don't get it either. Unusal because she is Russian? I don't know. She doesn't look so hot and her music is, like you said and I agreed, okay. But then I also think that Norah Jones, Corrine Bailey Rae and Sarah MacLachlan are boring, too.

yeah, she seems "okay" only to me too.......
i started listening to her songs when i first saw her MTV in the TV..........becoz she does look a bit like Tori Amos and her voice is like Tori Amos and Bjork mixed. i'm a Tori Amos fan......but after a while listening to her songs, i find her nothing special....just "okay".......i still prefer Tori and Bjork........dont understand why these articles praise her so much..........

first of all its Regina, and i only have her latest album (thats why i cant discuss the others...)and it sounds really fresh and funny...the kinda songs ppl often relate to.
