What do you mean a remake? It's still being shown on TV, you cant remake something which is still going strong. You want to do an HOMAGE to Saturday Night Live, and as such, you don't have to be original.
Do a Celebrity Jeopardy bit, do a Linda Richman "Cawffee Tawk" segment, use your imaginations! Do a monologue which is all about you and your group.

You can not remake SNL. But if you are going to attempt it you must include the cone heads and "land shark" Good luck. the stuff from the 1970,and 80 is the best after that it goes down hill and continues to do the same.
