Someone I know said " I need to use the restroom, so I can get all my ups and downs outta the way." What did they mean by that?

They weren't in a hurry to go to the restroom though.

That's drug speak for snorting cocaine. It goes "up" your nose but as it wears off, you go "down."
That's why they didn't have to use the restroom to pee.

Maybe they had to take a sh** and they try to stay thin by throwing up. That's what I would think of that saying.
