At the doctor's, it means that I need to strip down, put the gown on, and put my feet in the stirrups.

At school, it means studying for a test.

At work, it means I need to prepare something ahead of time.

As a clique word, it means you wear way too much Abercrombie and Fitch, say "like" with every other word, and are probably on the football team dating a cheerleader.

There is always a misconception that "preps" are the stuck up kids that shop at Hollister, Abercrombie, or American Eagle and participates in school sports and activities. If they were to wear such brands the would be look down upon by other preps. A prep is actually one who attends a prepatory school, usually on the east coast, comes from an old rich family and dresses in labels like Ralph Lauren, Lacoste, Polo, J.Crew, Lilly, and Juicy Conture.. They usually plays tennis, lacrosse, squash, field hockey, golf, ride, sail and is destined for a top Ivy League school. Preps also do not wear loads of make-up, they like to keep our look simple and natural looking without overdoing it.

ditz, brat, skank, concieded, self-centerred, world revolves around them. generally posers go to lots of parties wear such expensive clothes as Hollister, American Eagle, Abercrombie and Fitch, Express, Armani Exchange, and shop at Victorias Secret for bras that they dont even need because they are fricken size 'A.' Also spend way too much on makeup like Bobbi Brown when they can look just as skanky with Mabelline

I shop at AE, Hollister, Aeropostale, and Express, but I'm not a prep. I shop in the clearance section.

Kids who wear Abercrombie, Hollister, American Eagle, and Aeropostale. They think that they're better than everyone because they can afford those clothes. They're stuck up and think that they own the world.
