An excellent question! As a liberal, I can tell you how I show my patriotism--I -
demonstrate
sign petitions
write letters to the editor of my local paper and letters to my members of Congress
donate money to my local National Guard unit to help them purchase body armor
donate my company's services to families who have someone serving in Iraq (I convinced my company to adopt this policy)
vote and encourage everyone to vote
work on political campaigns
donate to political campaigns
study the history of the US
pay my taxes--and gladly, I might add
do my best to support, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.
Conservatives I know personally do some of the same things I do-
write letters to local newspaper and to their members of Congress
meet with our Representative (who is Republican)
vote and encourage others to vote
donate to political campaigns
study the history of the US
pay taxes
do their best to support, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.
As I said, the actions described above are ones done by conservatives I know. I'm sure other conservatives do many of the same things I do that weren't listed on the conservative list.
Interestingly enough, neither conservatives or liberals I know tend to show patriotism via bumper magnets, though I did have a flag on my car right after 911, and a yellow ribbon when the Guard unit first asked for donations; when these items started being made in China and available at convenience stores, I took mine off, for I feel that they had lost their patriotic meaning.

Differently: Conservative and Liberal demonstrate their patriotism differently just by having different ideas of how things should be don.
Similarly: But both are similar in that that they both want what's best for the country.

We professional liberal reporters demonstrate our patriotism by tearing up the fabric of America.
How do you conservatives show your patriotism? By blindly upholding traditional American values and supporting our President, because our country is at war, even though you don't always agree with him.
Shame on you.

Liberal believe it is patriotic to control every one else. Pass a law and make everyone into criminals, over control.
Conservatives believe it is patriotic to make their own way and keep their noses clean and out of their neighbor's business.
