Pay yourself first. Open a savings account and when u get paid, make a deposit before u do anything else. Start small, maybe $25. U will be surprised that u don`t miss the money if it isn`t in ur hand to spend. As ur account grows, it gives u incentive to keep adding to it. You have to start somewhere and a savings acc. is the easiest way to go. After a while it becomes a habit. Try it..good luck.

The only one that can get you to save money is you. I personally have an ing account and sort of get a kick out of looking at it on line every month to see how much it grew. If you set it up for automatic savings, they'll deduct some set amount out of your checking account each month and they are currently paying 4.5% interest.

However, your local bank probably has savings accounts too and the key thing is to put yourself on a budget and leave the savings alone unless you have a true emergency.

I have not met a single person who has saved money and have fulfilled his or her dream.If that could be the case then everyone on this planet would be rich.You want to buy expensive things.You need to grow your money at the same token.
Here I suggest;
Increase your income not saving to grow money.
When income increases you will no more have to go to the thrift stores.
Be in your own business.
Change your thinking
Thanks

remove as much of the money you'd like to save from your paycheck automatically through auto-401k or savings via direct deposit. that way you'll learn to live with your new 'take home' pay quickly, and you'll be saving money without even knowing it... just be sure to not touch it unless it's truly needed.

I suck at saving money, I am amazingly good at spending it though.
