Say that you're walking down the street,and you fall into the same hole day after day.Wouldn't you grow tired of falling into the hole, and take a different street?I think that everybody is different,some have to learn the hard way while others don't.

I think that it takes either you to realize that you are making the same mistakes or have someone point it out to you. But once you realize it or whatever then I believe that we can change and stop making the same mistakes. :)

more than likely we keep making the same mistakes over and over again, but i do believe we have the ability to learn from our mistakes. but will we use that ability?

Well it depends...are you willing to listen when people try to tell you something negative about yourself. If you are then perhaps you'll see how others view you and you'll get a different perspective on things. If not, get in line "Mistake #1"
