what is wrong? could i be pregnant? should i take a blood pregnancy test? i also took a otc test TWICE and they both came back negative. my period is very reliable and usually comes EVERY 23 days.

i was 20 days late,same thing happened to me and i tried the test for the 3rd time 3 hours ago then found out am pregnant . wait for two or three days if u dont get ur period so go to for blood test sometimes home test doesnt investigate the hormon

IF 3 different tests have been negative then you probably aren't pregnant, but stranger things have happened. Try waiting a week and take one more. If that one's negative then something else is going on. Have you been stressed? Stress can cause you to miss periods. Have you started exercising more or lost weight? Heavy exercise and/or weight loss can also cause you to miss periods. Sometimes people can stop getting periods for a time and there is no known cause as to why. Did your Dr. offer any theories as to why you are missing periods? If you don't' get one soon go back to the Dr. for a thorough exam. Good Luck.

There are other reasons you aren't having your period. Your body will shut that down if you dip below a certain body fat level, for instance. An interaction with medication, etc.

Did the doctor give you any idea why? If not, go back or call the office and find out if they know. If not, ask to be referred to a specialist or see another doctor.
