want to change the settings so tat a downloaded song open up in winamp instead of real one player?

after downloading a song when i open it, it gets opened in real one player......... so cud any one plz temme the settings so tat the songs get played in winamp

Right click any mp3 file, then choose "open with...", it will bring up a list of programs open the file with (you may need to press the "Choose Program" button if it winamp is not on the list), from here choose winamp and then check the box that reads "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file."

Conversely, you could also go to the options in winamp itself and make it your default mp3 player.

you should set winamp to the default player. You must change the settings in the downloading program to allow this or you can go to the shared folder and right click the song and click "open with" and select winamp.

find out what kind of extension it has and when you do open a folder ( my documents) and on the top menu click on tools, folder options,then file types and find the one that your song extension has and click on it once then click on change where it says "opens with" and change it to open with your winamp it it only works for one song then you will have to click on advance and do the same find the program you want to use to open it with (winamp).

hope this helps you out. be careful and a piece of advice write down the program that opens it before you change it just in case you want to revert back to it.

well in your browser you can change how you upload things like go to tools then internet options then programs there should be a whole list in there on what programs u use to open certain things but if u have the new iexplorer im not sure where they keep those.
so what i would do is go to someplace where u download a file the most download a test file a little thing should popup on where u want to download to exit out of that then go to that place and do thing that i said above it should help.

I agree with Bob, but make sure you check the checkbox to make sure to ALWAYS open in Winamp.
