More troops, carrier groups in the Persian Gulf, harsh accusatory rhetoric, are we going into Iran? If so, how will the President do it and will Congress approve?

He's going to attempt a Gulf of Tonkin (the fraud LBJ used to get us in Vietnam) incident to try to get public support.

It's important to oppose the war when this scam happens. The media is trying to cheerlead us into Iran and the people must say no. Otherwise, we'll have another Iraq and the return of the Draft (which Democrat Charles Rangel wants to bring back). Only popular opposition can keep the elephants and donkeys from killing and maiming more young Americans.

No, I don't think that the President is intent on some kind of military conflict with Iran. I think it's been hyped up by Democrats. The only way the President would call for a strike on Iran is if Iran struck us first. Iran won't do that. They will simply wait until the US has pulled out of Iraq and then proceed to take over, killing anyone who had anything to do with the US.

I believe that Iran represents a nazis-like ideology that has become totalitarian and contagious throughout the middle east and other countries. Bush must, eventually, invade Iran; alone or with allies. However, he has not sufficiently DEFINED THE THREAT. He should be pounding the Worlds infidels with the truth about the threat and elucidate it with EVIDENCE; including the words of Armadinejad, et al. The threat is not just against the
U.S. Islam has been hijacked by radical idealogs funded and armed by Radical (wahabs) and because our intel services were
too weak from Clinton's emasculations, we never saw it coming. Bush didn't see it either, but folks, it's here and we have to fight it and congressional ignorance to deal with it. Bush must invade before the Iranian seat of two faced covert war gets the big bomb and takes out the heart of America or, with the aid of the dim bulbs in congress we do not rehabilitate our covert intel
services to deal with the eventual blows that are most certainly coming if one believes the words of the socerdotal- lead mobs of hate, martyrdom and bloodlust insanity. The U.S. (Bush) must simply keep pounding home the truth. We, as Americans should not be afraid; Bush, apparently, thinks, in P.C. that we are and is
not forthcoming AS TO HOW COMMITED THE RADICALS ARE.
As a result, he is wanting for courage to be a real leader.

I hope people remember the flack that President Bush received over Iraq. Pay backs are tough sometimes. Everyone may call him a good old boy, but along with the phrase comes pay back. He is not going to give the rest of the world the pleasure of handling this one for them. This message of military engagement with Iran has been going on for over a year. Nothing has come of it. Now Iran is stating that the USA is responsible for the division of Sunnis and Shiites in their country. People all over the world will believe this, but they refuse to believe that Iran is furnishing weapons to insurgents in Iraq. Amazing simply amazing.

I do not think that it's his intent to go into Iran, but he may have to. President Bush is the only world leader that is in a position to stop Iran from building a nuclear weapon and destroying Israel. He can do it because he has nothing politically to lose. He should do it because a nuclear Iran is about the scariest scenario for the middle east.

Right you are Ken, there are a couple of things that you may have missed he has ordered the strategic oil reserves doubled, and he is just now closed the border with Iran. I think that Congress will be very suspicious of his mission, maybe with intelligence of their own. As Hillary has said they are not going to give him a blank check to attack Iran as they did Iraq.

edit: oh, and he is beefing up the force in Afghanistan.

Well he's already started by saying that Iran is attacking our troops by supplying IEDs to the insurgents in Iraq. So he can make a case that he invaded Iran to stop them from attacking US troops.

Intent on conflict is the wrong phrase. He recognizes the need to stop Iran before they have nukes. They already have missiles. I think we will bomb their nuke & missile sites this year, probably in the next few months. Unfortunately, all other options are much worse.

I would answer that question this way:
Actually Iran wants war with the US!!!
We are just sitting here watching the president of Iran
talk about blowing the US and Israel away!

I think Bush is stupid and pigheaded enough to go in. It's like everywhere he sees, he wants to conquer it. I've said for a long time that he's playing the adult version of the "Risk" game from childhood. But everybody has to lose sometime. I just hope that America is still intact after it's over.
