'Freedom To Read' week is February 25 - March 3. I plan to reread 'Of MIce and Men', 'To Kill A Mockingbird', 'Lord of the Flies' and 'Farenheit 451'. Maybe I'll throw in a little Stephen King or Harry Potter, just for extra savour.

Last year I read

Of Mice and Men
To Kill a Mockingbird
Farenheiht 451

and all of the Harry Potter books.

I think I'll just take a look at the list posted at my library and pick one at random!

I don't know what banned/challenged books I'll read, but I will probably reread some of my favorite books that are all about censorship:
Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
The Day They Came to Arrest the Book by Nat Hentoff
Memoirs of a Bookbat by Kathryn Lasky

I'll teach The Chocolate War and Of Mice and Men. I'll probably top things off by peeing on the American flag.

Fahrenheit 451 seems like a worthwhile book. I plan to read it even though its a bit controversial.

I plan on reading Bridge to Terabithia this week if I can get it at the library. It is controversial for its age group.
