Try "Neverwhere" by Neil Gaiman (http://www.booklore.co.uk/PastReviews/GaimanNeil/Neverwhere/NeverwhereReview.htm). It's a dark fantasy/mystery/adventure with a murder involved, and there's a pretty good twist on who the killer is. It's a great book.
Also, "Relic" by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child (http://www.amazon.com/Relic-Lincoln-Child/dp/0765354942/sr=1-1/qid=1171675848/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/104-0941067-6281515?ie=UTF8&s=books), and "Reliquary" (http://www.amazon.com/Reliquary-Douglas-Preston/dp/0765354950/ref=ed_oe_p/104-0941067-6281515), the sequel, both are thrillers with twists at the end.
