Personally, I find dogs more engaging, I love walking my sisters Blue Merle (spelling right?) collie and I love playing with dogs. However cats are interesting creatures and i would rather watch a cat run around a room after a fluffy ball and jump on your lap that watch tv. Its a matter of taste really. They both have different qualities its just a matter of which you appreciate more.

I work in a super market and cat food goes to all the single ladies out there and dog food goes to all the family types. I'd say cat people are more likely to be single. I say single ladies too because men tend to buy dog food. Just an observation.

I am both! I love dogs and cats, and I can not chose between them. I love cats because they are so soft and cute, and they can be really funny when they are playing. I like dogs because they are ALWAYS happy to see you. You can give them big bear hugs, and they love to play rough outiside. I really love them both.
I have cats, and I do not have a dog yet, as they cost more. But I am not single, I am engaged.

me and my husband we have 60 cats and 1 dog, 1 frog, 1 roaster, 1 chicken and planning to buy donkey soon, what do u call us ? we are not old that much, we are both 49 yrs.old...

A dog person will show you their affection when you want them to as well.
A cat person will show you affection on their terms and when they feel like it.
