i havn't slammed a door in angre for years. but i remember it seemed to be so neccasary and satifsfying.

Slamming a door seems satisfying to people in a grump because they feel it helps. They are really angry and feel they need to lash out at something or someone, but it dont mean their a bad person. To most people slamming a door releases some of the anger they've been bottling up and it calms them down. It feels satisfiying and neccasary because you feel that by slamming the door you are showing you are angry and you think that people will realise.

It is a great way of having the last word, letting out pent up anger without hurting anyone and makes a wonderful exit!
Careful though, I took a door off the hinges once and I got into so much trouble from my parents. I was a teenager at the time and I am quite surprised that I can remember that far back.

People seem to want to get the last word in when they are angry and slamming the door as they walk out would leave that impression. I used to do it years ago but it always felt anti-climatic. The door never sounded as angry as I felt.

it could be the outworking of letting of steam without hitting someone but satisfying hearing that door bang and knowing that you have resolved something.better eating a pizza.

It's probably a way of drawing attention to yourself as if to say that you have had the last word in an argument.

i always think of it as being kind of like.. getting the last word in without actually saying anything.. or its a way to release anger without hurting anyone.
