Oprah will only help out if she can get coverage and acknowledgement for it....but if your Auntie moves to Africa, she'll stand a better chance...

Help in what way? If you mean financially, then I would say no. If Oprah helped everyone who needed $ then she would no longer be the richest woman in show business.
If it is a personal problem that Oprah can do a show on, then she will probably help. bear in mind that when you see her giving people houses, or cars, or trips to Toys R Us, that is not being done with her money. The companies give that for a chance to be mentioned and thanked on her show.
