Just wondering what my competition is! They give it away live on March 18th. It's a gorgeous 250,000 home.

Well, foolishly perhaps, my daughter and I (each) entered every single day throughout the contest last year--thinking it would increase our odds of winning. Needless-to-say, it did not. So this year, I'm using a different strategy. I am entering just ONCE. Good luck to you! If I win, you can come to Colorado and visit me.
P.S. - Ya' know, it's highly unlikely that we could actually afford to live there, anyway. We'd be relegated to selling it like the first responder said. I'd probably turn around and build my "dream" home where there wasn't so much snow.

the Dreamhome I am selling, paying off my mortgage and buying a shack on the beach for winter ( i have no reason to work if I don't have a mortgage. ).. I pay for the better half to go to trucking school. (he's 10 years younger than I am) the GreenHome - I'm moving! The Urban Oasis - same as the Dreamhome. I think your idea is fantabulous.

I did and everybody I know and everybody they know entered it. You have a ton of competition. It will probably go to some rich bachelor who doesn't even need it. If I won it, I'd sell it anyway and build a dream home in my own style and location.

Be careful what you wish for....I entered the one for Texas and lost. I am so glad I did.
Don Cruz from Chicago won the house located in Tyler, Texas.
The house was valued at 1.5 milllion and our friends, the government, sent him a tax bill for $650,000.
He sold the house for just enough to pay the taxes.
