Write to the local TV studios and ask if they need any extra's as a start.This will get your foot on the ladder.You can then talk to the real actors during filming.I got into 3 Catherine cookson films withTyne Tees studio's and had a good natter with some famous names during filming, eg Bob Peck( Jurassic park) & Jenny McAteer.It also made me realise that for a lot of actors there is not much work or money.One guy I met complained how little they were being paid and said he had a small part in Blackadder and was inside the Hippo costume in the Slumberland bed advert.
Otherwise try London.
