Well first of all the definition of racisim is having advantages that others are denied...with a component of power. Minorities are denied privledges that white people do not see. People can never be racists towards white people because we hold power. And we didnt invite them into our country, it is a right that everyone in the world has. We live on stolen ground...that we stole so unless your of native american descent, part of your ancestors came here with the same opportunity.
You should never look at a situation where racisms is accepted or should happen? If your so concerned what are you doing to help prevent racists attitudes because your actions are some what racists.
Try to look at a situation is someone elses eyes...

Racism is every where. Many a time it shows its ugly teeth. You must remember the whites are all immigrants. The blacks were brought there as slaves. The only original inhabitants are the red indians. So how can you stop imigrants.
Australia, Newziland and even South Africa,Zimbave are some of the other examples.
The earth is universal so also are human beings. If we accept the truth that all men are equal, this problem should not arise. So change your mind set.

I doubt seriously that there is single individual among any of you or your acquaintances who has ever had the slightest dealing with slavery.
It is also highly unlikely that you or anyone you know has had any measurable effect on the "oppression of black people".
In light of this, I have to wonder who the answerer means when she says "you oppressed blacks", and, no, I don't remember.
In answer to your question,
the PC crowd has determined that "White Folk" are scum and forever indebted to anyone who may have at any time been wronged. This is due to any real or imagined role that "White Folk" may or may not have played in the aforementioned wronging(sic).
Couple this with the constant insistence by "Black Leaders" that "Black Folk" are victims and, as such, in need of pity and handouts, and the picture should become clearer.
By the way, it is sheer idiocy to intimate that one cannot be a racist because of their race.

That's a very good question. I have dear friends of all races--my best friend and bridesmaid in my wedding is a beautiful black woman--but the reverse discrimination does bother me. For example: "BET--Black Entertainment Television". If we had a channel called "WET--White Entertainment Televison" there would be public outrage, boycots, etc. Morgan Freeman, a great black actor, made a good point: he does not agree with or support things like black history month because--he says--blacks will never be equal as long as they keep creating holidays, TV networks, etc. that set them apart from other races. He basically said blacks segregate themselves by creating "Black" this and "Black" that.

I don't get it either. How long do we pay for what we "did" and how long before we are forgiven when in reality most of us living today had nothing more to do with it than the ones doing the racism back to us. I don't think it should be forgotten but I do think more of an effort needs to be made to accept as well. By everyone. Is that so hard to do? And as far as prejudices go, try being an old white woman if you want to feel put down.

That's a strange one. It has to do with the fact that white people have never - on a widespread, historical scale - been subjugated by black people. If there was a TV channel specifically for straight people, or able-bodied people it would raise the same moral ambiguity.

Call it the reverse effect. Immigrants are doing most of the jobs that many whites won't do. Under paid, unable to meet the costs of living, etc....
