i've been friends with him since i was in fourth grade and this was his first gf. she told him she didn't want to date n e more bcause she was still in luv with her old bf. now she's going out with another guy who is not her former bf. he's confused and upset and i can't snap him out of it. he's a great guy and can do so much better.

Tell him how great he is,his self esteem is lacking right now. Maybe you two should be together,how about that? I'm gonna guess you are much better than his ex!

i am not sure how u can snap him out of it but i think you should let him know u are there for him. i heared a saying that there are better fish in the sea maybe you could take them out to a movie or some thing. Just be there and let them know they can talk to you at anytime.

If you are a close friend, just tell him flat out what you think or don't say anything at all. Because it won't matter. It sounds like he's not thinking with his brain right now, I've seen it happen before. Usually, no matter what you say isn't gonna change him. He'll just have to learn for himself.

Just be there for him.
The heart wants what the heart wants.
If it was that easy to snap out of it he would have done so by now.
Continue to be his friend and try to take him out to do fun things and when he talks about her in a loving way try to remind him that there are plenty of single women who would love to be with him.
Dont talk negatively about her in case he takes her back (then he will ignore you out of embarrassment).

tell him that. make him realize how amazing he is and how terrible she was. make him realize that she was a fool to dump him.
