He nailed it! I went in looking for nothing in particular and asked for a recommendation. I told him that I like zins, cabs and some sangeoveses (?). He back up with a barbera wine (I wish I remembered the winery). It's my new favorite! Lot's of blackberry, currant, chocolate, and a wee bit of spice. YUM!

I don't really need a Sommelier to recommend wine-in-a-box. I can usually pick that out all by myself.

I dare a sommelier to make a recommendation to me. I'm not sure why, but they just irritate me. Perhaps it's their pompous way of "explaining" the wine to you but I'm not feeling their action.

I think he'd drank the original and replaced it with vinegar. The route from the wine cellar took him through the kitchen, so that would tie in.
