Yes, it was a big thing of the coast of east Africa year or two ago. They don't have swords, and a wood boat, a regular boat and regular guys

Yes pirates still exist today but not wearing eye patches & such. "Pirates" are boats taking overing other boats & the people on board. I saw on the news the reason so many pirate ships sank in the past. The weight of gold, heavy coins & other spoils were accounted for when pirates stole them. They were too greedy too stop loading the treasure as the boat reached dangerous shifting. First small storm & the ship sank.

Yes they exist..did you hear about the pirates who tried stopping a big Caribbean cruise to jump on and take there money and stuff..yea it was all over the news like 1 yr or so..it's interesting..but nothing happened,they didn't get on,but the pirates lefted and when the search crew got there, they were no where to be found.

Pirates still exist. I went to the Virgin Islands last September and witnessed dark ships passing through the Caribbean Sea at night. I asked the locals about it and they stated that it's quite common for drug trafficking to take place during the night hours by the pirates.

Some pirates are in the seas but not the ones you think. The pirates are traders, and sometimes steal from other countries. But they are on comand from other countries, the pirates.

Yes they exist , especially around the horn of africa and around many asian islands as well. There are some waters in those areas that are not really controlled by any country etc, so they are open to pirates to raid civilian vessels and rob them etc.

There are still many pirates active today, mostly in the same areas they have operated in for thousands of years (Red Sea, Horn of Africa, Straits of Malacca, etc.).
