Some people say if you put Septic Life in your tank regularly you won't need to get it pumped out at all, I was told when I had mine done this summer that it should be done about every 5 years. It also depends if all of your drains go in the septic tank.
I also found out that you can use a cake of baking yeast in your septic tank instead of Septic Life. They both do the same thing but, the yeast is cheaper.

You should never have to do anything to a closed septic tank. They have there own bacteria. I am a master plumber and I have never had my tank pumped. The only time I could see a need was if there was damage to the tank and you had to replace it. People have been lied to by others trying to sell them usless products and services. If you have a problem it is almost always the field lines that connect to the tank. Either the ground doesn't perk or the get filled with greese and dirt. Don't waste your money on that stuff.

RidX isn't something like Drano. Drano is a caustic substance that eats away rapidly - think of acid. RidX is a micro-organism that consumes good waste on your septic tank - think of caterpillars. They did get so you might use RidX month-to-month to help ward off equipment decrease back-ups. How many times to bathe? Too many components influence the respond. the place do you reside? what's your perc? what's the capability of the preserving tank? What type of septic equipment? what number human beings are utilizing the equipment? Do you employ organic and organic detergents? Do you employ bleach? See what I recommend?

Depends on size and usage. I have a 1500 gal. tank and have it pumped every three years. Also feed your tank every spring with 5 pounds of sugar and a box of yeast. Rid-x it each month too!
Just flush it down the toilet!

It all depends on how large the system is and how many people are using the system. Check with your local health department to see if they require it to be pumped on a regular bases they know what type system and the soil type in your area.
