G'day,

I dunno if Mac works the same way as pc... This is what I usually do to copy Outlook Personal File (.pst) from one pc to another:
1. Open Outlook
2. Click File - Import and Export - Export to a file - Personal Folder File (PST).
3. Highlite Personal Folder, Tick 'Include Subfolders'. Next
4. Browse to where you want it to be saved. Next
5. MAKE SURE to tick 'No Encryption'. Click OK and the export start.
6. Copy the backup file to another machine. Open Outlook in the new machine. Click File - Import and Export - Import from another program or file - Personal Folder File (pst). Browse to find where the backup file is and click next. It will be imported to the new machine.

Again... I am assuming that Mac Outlook work the same way as pc.

Hope this helps and good luck.

It all depends on the application you are going to use in Mac also.

As that application should be capable of importing the Outlook 2003 file/files.

As far as the procedure is concerned, you need to find the outlook.pst file from your windows machine and copy it to a CD/Thumb Drive and start your Mac program to import this.

A very good tool to find out where exactly your pst file is located - a small download and once installed will let you know where exactly your pst file is.

While copying this file make sure that you are not running your Outlook.

you can download this small utility called OutlookTools from

You can import your pst file into the mail aplication by going to file import and specfing that it is a outlook file that you are importing, then just browse to the file. Open address book and the process should be simular.

If you are using entrage (outlook for mac) you should be able to import your pst file the pst file by going to file import. Your contacts may take some preswasion. I think your best bet is to export them as comma seperated from outlook and import them to entrage and or address book.

hope that helps.

You transfer it from the PC to the Mac, using a certain program.

I hate it when these kinds of things happens. It's very irritating. I would just look up different ways of restoring emails. I left you a website that might help solve your problem. Good luck!
