Why not , Ronald Reagan was an actor before being a politician, unless they're not american citizens can't anyone run for any office in the US no matter what they do?

I'm not positive I understand the question, but I think the answer is yes. Arnold Schwartzeneggar ran as a Republican in a heavily democratic state, and won! A lot of that had to be his "personality" as well as the circumstances.
Sometimes I think Oprah would make a good president, because she has so much money she can't be bought.
