NEVER EVER miss a smear test they are so important they can pick up bad cells long before they turn cancerous
I was one of the lucky ones please make a appointment
Most if not all smears are done by women doctors these days so there is no need to be too embarrassed
A smear test can actually save your life

Please go and have one asap. There is a reason they ask us to go for one, I know its not a pleasant experience for anyone but it has to be done. A small moment of discomfort or risk not having these cells that could turn into cancer detected early enough? Smears are actually not as bad as used to be they use a brush type thing now instead of a metal scraper thing, I didn't even realise she'd finished when she did mine last!

yes i think you are being foolish.Your health is the most important thing and it only takes a few moments to get a smear test done.My advice is to make that appointment and get one done.think of it this way wht if you find out later that you have cancer and they could have treated it better if it had been caught early. Some people dont have that choice.

Yes, but i understand,I hate getting mine done but plucked up the courage a few weeks ago and waiting for results. I kept thinking that if something was wrong i would be silly to ignore it. I feel better for doing it. Fingers crossed for results! Go get it over with!

Yes.
My mate put it off for 5 years and when she had it done was SO relieved. Not a week later though when she was having pre-cancerous cells burned out of her cervix.
JUST DO IT. It's over in a couple of minutes and you get that silly proud "Hey im a grown up and im brave" feeling after ;)

Yes-I'm 29 and only recently had my first one (luckily all was fine) but i'd been avoiding having it done for years despite being sexually active since I was 15...don't know why i kept putting it off but gonna make sure I keep upto date with it now.Bite the bullet and make an appointment asap.

Please go and get a smear test booked, as 7 years is a long time since your last one. I know they are uncomfitable, but they could save you a lot of problems later on healthwise.

yes! they're really horrible, and it's horrible when you have an abnormality, and it's possible that they won't find anything wrong when there is something wrong BUT...

cervical cancer has been reduced hugely since their introduction and if something is preventable you should really do what you can to prevent it...

i've got to have another one next week after going through horrible stuff and i'm dreading it but i'll go because i don't want cancer if i can avoid it ♥
