The truth is love and fidelity for this country are things that no political party or persuasion has a monopoly over. Both conservatives and liberals, Republicans and Democrats, can love this country. Love and patriotism exist in spades regardless of whether one is left wing or right wing. These labels only designate ones political stance, they cast no aspersions concerning ones loyalty to this country, nor are they evidence of loyalty. Just as a man expresses love for his girlfriend or wife differently than he shows it to his mother, in like manner both conservatives and liberals wish the best for this country. They just have different ways of achieving it.

They don't hate America, they hate the way the present administration, the ultra conservatives, are running things, They love America enough to stand up and voice their opinions about how to make a better nation. That's what America is all about....having the freedoms to voice our opinions and even protest to try to change things.
There are lots of points of view ranging from the ultra conservative (far right) to the exact opposite bleeding liberals (far left). Most Americans are actually in the somewhere middle.

Don't believe Fox TV. And don't believe that people can be pigeonholed into categories. Most Americans love America, but they have different ideas on what is "Good" for this country. Like our Prez says he likes America, but he wants to get rid of our personal freedoms via the Patriot act (America is great because of it's PEOPLE who really should be represented by elected officials who should do the peoples WISHES, not the lobbyists or people with moneys interests).
I love this country, and if we stopped supporting Israel, we would not have this war (or any wars going on in the middle east), wouldn't have 'terrorism' problems etc.

Liberals do not hate America, we love America while at the same time being mature and rational enough to recognize the flaws that lie within America and seeking to fix those flaws.

I've never seen a bunch of conservatives protesting and spewing hate for America until they are arrested for breaking the law. I've never seen conservatives tell any branch of the military that they are unwanted in their town all the while screaming about their rights to do so as defended and earned by the very people they decry. I've never seen a conservative burn the flag in protest. And I've never seen a conservative cry impotently about the world while doing nothing more to change it than get their picture in the paper. So I'd say you got it backwards.

We all love America on both sides of that coin. Unfortunatly too many of us are letting others do our thinking for us. In reality who really cares about that. The real issues are what we need to focus on not the soap opera crap like who loves America, or who is more PC. We need to focus on what is good for our people and country. Let's stop all this childish stuff and actually pull together and fix things.

Well yesterday at his news conference when talking about the Democrats Bush said, "I think they're patriotic people who care about our country"
Though I disagree with him most of the time, I think this is a good description of Liberals.
