My son has been visiting unacceptable websites. He wants his PSP back, and suggested that I just enter a password to access internet (I didnt even know it had wireless internet when he got it). I researched it on the internet, and it sounds like there are numerous ways to bypass the block. Wondering if there is any way to permanently disable it so that he could still play games on it?

if you have a wireless router you can set up a user key that you have to put in in order to get online but that would only stop him at home, also seting up the password is the best way to make it so he cannot view them sites. but i think you can erase the password just by going to restore default settings i dont remember and i dont want to reset mine just to be sure lol the default password is 0000 youll need that to set it up
some routers have a parental feature that you can setup also at least mine does
just log into the router most likely the address will be
192.168.1.1
or
192.168.2.1 those are the most common

Try putting on the password feature. It is under the settings tab and should be under the system settings tab or something like that. Tell your son that he should not be looking at these sites and if he does continue this behavior then you will take it away from him permantly. You can check the browsing history inside the internet browser. Hope this works.
